Announcing The Zonta Service Fund of Cincinnati Grant Program

The Zonta Service Fund of Cincinnati (ZSFC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with the goal of making charitable donations through its grant award program to not-for-profit organizations/projects which support the mission, vision, and values of Zonta International and the Zonta Club of Cincinnati.

Zonta International envisions a world in which women's rights are recognized as human rights and every woman is able to achieve her full potential. In such a world, women have access to all resources and are represented in decision making positions on an equal basis with men. In such a world, no woman lives in fear of violence.

 

THEME/SLOGAN

Empowering Women Through Service and Advocacy Criteria to Request Donation:

  • The organization/project must be aligned with the mission, goals and strategies of Zonta International and the ZCC which relates to women and children’s health, education and advocacy.

  • The organization must be a not-for-profit (preferably an IRS qualified 501(c)3).

  • The majority of the clients served by the organization must be women or girls.

  • The organization must be established for a minimum of 18 months.

  • The proposed use of the donation must have a direct impact.

 

Grant/Project Guidelines

  • Organizations may apply for grant awards ranging in amount from a minimum of $500 to a maximum of $2000 per funding cycle. If the budgeted amount per funding cycle (currently set at $2000) is not fully granted in Round 1 of the fiscal year, then unawarded funds will be transferred for distribution in Round 2.

  • The grants are for single year funding only.

    • Organizations may apply each cycle, but will be awarded only one grant per fiscal year.

    • Grant applications are accepted year-round.

    • Grants are distributed twice a year (December and May).

    • Applications must be received by October 1 for the December 1 award distribution and by April 1 for a May 31 1 award distribution. Applications that miss the deadline will be considered for the following award cycle.

 

Grant Application Process:

  • The organization must complete a formal application to the Zonta Service Fund of Cincinnati, which includes but is not limited to:

    • Description of and number of clients served

    • Length of existence of the organization

    • Mission

    • Other funding received

    • How the funds will be used

  • The organization must provide a completed feedback form and documentation of how the funds were used and the measurable impact of the project and benefits. The feedback form will be sent within six months of receiving funds.

  • The grant recipient agrees to acknowledge the Zonta Club of Cincinnati in any promotional material regarding this grant or project.
